Launch of the Pharmaceutical Sector Patent Data Platform

Developed by the FarmaBrasil Group (GFB) in collaboration with the BRPTO, the Pharmaceutical Sector Patent Data Platform was unveiled on April 8 at the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade, and Services (MDIC) as part of the New Industry Brazil initiatives.

This cutting-edge tool dynamically organizes information using public data, facilitating decision-making for both the Public Sector and pharmaceutical industries. The platform encompasses pharmaceutical patent applications submitted to the Brazilian government from 2000 to 2021.

Furthermore, the BRPTO has pledged to keep the data updated until 2023, in line with the Technical Cooperation Agreement signed at the event by the president of the FarmaBrasil Group, Reginaldo Arcuri, and the executive director of the INPI, Tânia Ribeiro.

The launch event was attended by the Vice President of the Republic and Minister of MDIC, Geraldo Alckmin, and the Minister of Health, Nísia Trindade, underscoring the significance of this initiative for the Brazilian pharmaceutical sector.
