Announcement of the Fast-Track Trademark Examination
As a component of the INPI Action Plan 2025, the Institute is scheduled to initiate a novel service, designated as the Fast-Track Trademark Examination, on 7 August 2025. The initiative’s objective is twofold: firstly, to enhance the efficiency of the trademark system, and secondly, to prioritise applicants in need of expedited processing. These measures are expected to contribute to the strengthening of the innovation ecosystem and the promotion of economic growth.
Fast-Track Examination Modalities – Cases with Legal Priority
This service is free of charge and there is no quota limit.
- Individuals aged 60 or older
- Individuals with serious illnesses
- Individuals with disabilities
- Companies under the Inova Simples model
Fast-Track Examination Modalities – Cases aligned with strategic objectives and public policies
- Those who have filed an opposition based on prior rights
- Those who require trademark registration to access public funding
- Parties involved in legal proceedings
- Applicants with a product or service linked to a patent under fast-track examination
Fast-Track Examination Modalities – Cases aligned with strategic objectives and public policies
This request requires payment of a fee and is subject to quota limits.
- Scientific, Technological, and Innovation Institutions (ICTs)
- Individuals associated with the INPI who are signatories to a Technical Cooperation Agreement (ACT).
- Cases of public interest or national emergency
